Signs of Bed Bugs
If you are waking up with bites on your skin, you may have bed bugs. Bed bugs do not only live in wooden beds so even if you have a metal framed bed then they may infest. You may see bed bug droppings which are small and black, or shed skin matter. Bed bugs hide very well so you may not actually see them.
Bed Bug Removal
Residual insecticidal treatment will be required for bed bug removal. It must be thorough and extensive and will often include treatment of furniture, skirtings and picture rails, curtains, bed frames, headboards and underneath the edges of carpets, as these may be home to bed bugs. Treatment may be needed in all rooms, or all rooms on the same floor.

About Bed Bugs
Bed Bugs(Cimex lectularius) lay eggs which are pearly white and 1mm long. Bedbugs feed on human blood and only need to feed every 3 to 5 days. Both male and female have been known to survive for a year without feeding. The adult bedbug may live between 9-18 months at normal room temperature of 18-20°C providing there is a host available.
Bed bugs usually hide themselves in close proximity to their sleeping hosts, in bed frames, mattresses, behind skirting boards, headboards, hanging pictures and electrical sockets. It is common to find faecal debris around areas of infestation, which resemble small tiny spots.
Bed bugs are easily spread between dwellings, on goods, furniture or in the luggage of unsuspecting travellers abroad or in the UK. In fact, bed bugs are notoriously common in budget hotels and bed-sitters in large cities
